Bad For The Sport

In the world of Mixed Martial Arts the sport has been successful in just a couple of years. Eight- nine years ago the sport was considered as human cockfighting and brutal combat action. It couldn’t even be in pay-per-view because of how ruthless it was. That all changed and now its getting its popularity and its becoming more famous than boxing. Its exciting and many great fighters make great fights.

These great fighters train all their life to be fighters of this great sport but some are people are messing up the sport. These people I am referring to are ex sports athletes like Jose Canseco, former Major League Baseball player, and Herschel Walker, former NFL player. These men were great sports athletes all though Jose Canseco did use steroids but thats not the point the point is that they think they could do MMA. They have not trained in MMA all their life and all they want is quick cash but at the cost of hurting the sport.

These men are popular but are bringing a negative image to MMA because they are putting up circus fights. Jose Canseco fought in a MMA fight which he lost but  brought an image that said anybody even former sports athletes could fight in MMA. This is not the case MMA athletes train hard for fights and for somebody like Canseco to ruin the sport for them is not fair. Then comes Herschel Walker another sports athlete bad for the sport. At the age of forty seven this man has agreed to fight in a MMA bout and all the press is showing him even ESPN.

Herschel Walker, a former Dallas Cowboy, one of the greatest running backs is trying to get his popularity back but at the point of making MMA look bad. He will put another circus fight because he is not a fighter and training for six moths in the world of MMA does not make somebody a fighter it takes years. Just because the sport is popular right now these ex sports athletes think they could come and do the sport that is not the case. Please no more circus fights and there are rumors that Shaq wants to do MMA this is even more bad news for the sport. Leave the fighting to the professionals!!!
